Did you know that if you have multiple documents with the incorrect label in Confluence, you can quickly update all of the documents in a few clicks.
Lets see how easy this is to achieve with the assistance of Label Manager for Confluence by Gifted Foxes.
After installing, open “Label Manager by Gifted Foxes” in Confluence from the Apps menu in the sidebar (accessible from any page).
Select the Labels dropdown, type in the label you want to rename, then select the label from the list of suggested labels.
Hint
You can select more than one label at the same time, however all labels selected will be replaced with the same label(s). To update multiple labels to different labels, you can repeat the process.
You can use more than one filter at a time to further expand or reduce your results. For example, you can restrict the results to a specific space using the Spaces dropdown.
Once you’ve made your selection, press the “Search” button.
The Operations buttons will appear below, along with a list of results found by your query.
Press the “Replace” label operations button.
Similarly to when searching earlier, you can start typing the label to replace the one searched for.
Select the desired existing label from the suggested labels, or you can enter a new label and select the “Create new label” option.
Hint
You can select more than one replacement label at the same time.
After making your selection, press the “Replace Labels” button.
You can now see progress of the task in real time.
Once the operation is complete, the results below will be updated reflecting the changes that have been applied.
